Multimodal Biometric for Person Authentication by Fusion
نویسندگان
چکیده
A biometric System which relies only on a single biometric identifier in making a personal identification is often not able to meet the desired performance requirements. Identification based on multiple biometrics represents an emerging trend. We introduce a multimodal biometric system, which integrates face, ear and fingerprint recognition in making a personal identification. This system takes advantage of the capabilities of each individual biometrics. It can be used to overcome some of the limitations of a single biometrics. Preliminary experimental results demonstrate that the identity established by multimodal systems is more reliable than the identity established by a face recognition system alone. In addition, the proposed decision fusion enables the performance improvement by integrating multiple ones with different confidence measures. Further, multibiometric systems provide antispoofing measures by making it difficult for an intruder to spoof multiple biometric traits simultaneously.

Audio-Visual Multimodal Fusion for Biometric Person Authentication and Liveness Verification
In this paper we propose a multimodal fusion framework based on novel face-voice fusion techniques for biometric person authentication and liveness verification. Checking liveness guards the system against spoof/replay attacks by ensuring that the biometric data is captured from an authorised live person. The proposed framework based on bi-modal feature fusion, cross-modal fusion as well as 3D ...

Automatic person authentication is an important task in our day to day life. Earlier method of establishing a person’s Authenticate includes knowledge based like password or token base like id cards. These identities may be lost stolen or shared by any person .For these reasons they are not suitable for authentication. Biometrics refers a technology to authenticate individuals by automated mean...
